In keeping with Camp’s egalitarian values, a $75 fee, per camper, will be assessed to cover shuk (canteen) and trip day.

Fund for Excellence

$275 will be added to each family’s account as an annual, voluntary, tax-deductible donation to the Camp Havaya Fund for Excellence. As we continue to grow, we rely on the generosity of our Camp families to help us “raise the bar” so we can offer the most creative, innovative, and engaging programs. The Fund for Excellence allows us to do just that – to provide more of the high quality programming that has made us one of the “Top 10 Jewish Camps.”

Families with more than one camper may take $100 off tuition as a sibling discount for each camper after the first.

Additional Fees

Families who are not members of a congregation affiliated with Reconstructing Judaism pay an additional $300 annual fee. For campers who are not flying or being driven to Camp, bus service from Newark Airport, Long Island, and Bethesda (Maryland) will be provided at a cost of $125 each way (subject to sufficient enrollment).

Cancellation Policy

For applications cancelled before January 31, 2019, all payments, except the $750 deposit per session, will be refunded. For cancellations between February 1, 2019 and April 30, 2019, the family will be responsible for 25% of the total Camp fees. For cancellations received after May 1, 2019, the family will be responsible for 100% of Camp fees. AMSkier’s Peace of Mind provides parents with a refund of tuition if their camper is sick or injured and is unable to attend camp. In addition, there is coverage if the camper leaves camp early or if there is a death in the family. This policy has various limits and options available, including coverage for baggage and personal effects. In order to get the Cancel-for-any-Reason option, the coverage must be purchased within two weeks of making your initial deposit. If you are interested in purchasing this cancellation insurance, please click here for more information. Please note that cancellation deadlines and insurance are different for the No’ar Hadash Israel Experience. For more information, please contact us.

Our goal is that no camper is
turned away from Camp for financial reasons.

Through incentive grants for first-time campers and generous scholarships for those who need, we strive to make Camp financially accessible to all camper families. Learn More

One Happy Camper

In partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp, Camp Havaya offers an incentive program that is open to campers who live anywhere in North America! The Camp Havaya One Happy Camper program provides financial incentives of up to $1,000 for eligible first-time campers. After you register for Camp, visit to apply for this great incentive!

Financial Aid

Our goal at Camp Havaya is to try and guarantee when possible that no camper is turned away from Camp for financial reasons. We strive to make Camp financially accessible to all camper families. When applying for Camp, families may request scholarship information; applications will be sent only to families whose children have already been registered. All scholarship applications must be postmarked by January 31, 2019. As the only Reconstructionist camp, we realize that some families may incur significant additional costs for travel. Travel subsidies may be available upon request for costs over $250 per child (up to a total reimbursement, per child, of $150) depending on the distance from home to Camp. The travel subsidy is separate from scholarship. Please contact the Camp office for more information.

We know signing up is just the start.

The summer will be here before you know it and we know there may be a lot of questions. We’re happy to help!

Camp JRF is now Camp Havaya.

Worry not! We have a new name but, deep down, we’re still the same incredibly diverse and welcoming community where kids explore Judaism in their own ways and become the best versions of themselves.

Learn more about why we chose this name or click through to visit our website. Either way, we can’t wait to welcome you to Camp Havaya this summer!
